ORLEN ASFALT

The company is part of the integrated multi-energy ORLEN Group and is one of the largest suppliers of bituminous binders in Central Europe, used for road pavement production. Each year, our products reach over 40 countries worldwide. In line with our adopted strategy, ORLEN Asfalt's commercial activity focuses primarily on the Polish market, where we generate over 80% of sales.

Within the ORLEN Group's bitumen segment, we deliver products from six production centers located in Poland (Płock, Gdańsk, Trzebinia), the Czech Republic (Litvínov, Pardubice), and Lithuania (Mažeikiai). Technological development and sales consolidation allow us to ensure the availability of bitumens according to market expectations. In the years 2017-2022 (before the merger with the LOTOS Group), ORLEN Group carried out contracts averaging approximately 1.5 million tons of bitumen annually.

Research and Development Department OFFICE

An organizational unit of ORLEN Asfalt. It has existed since the company’s inception in 2003. It is responsible for conducting research and development in the field of bituminous binders and asphalt mixtures, technical marketing, and creating new products. The office provides technical advisory services to the company's clients regarding the applications of bituminous binders produced by the company.

The office's achievements include patent applications, a gold medal at the International Warsaw Invention Show (IWIS) 2007 (for multigrade bitumen BITREX), and an award from the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education for inventive achievements (2007). In 2016, ORLEN Asfalt received the Innovation Leader award in the Diamonds of Polish Infrastructure competition for the highly modified ORBITON HiMA bitumen developed by the Research and Development Office.
